Volunteer Information

Students are encouraged to email their completed volunteer forms to heidi.holtslander@ocdsb.ca.  Forms may also be handed into the main office.  Please be sure to sign the volunteer form and have parents sign before emailing or handing in.


  • Participate in organized food drives, support services for community groups (Shepherds of Good Hope, 4H clubs), not-for-profit summer camps and coaching
  • Participate in community clean-up, flower/tree planting, recycling, and general beautification projects and activities (Clean Up the Capital)
  • City of Ottawa Volunteer Youth Opportunities - Recreation and Culture Volunteers 14 years of age or older can participate in a wide variety of programs. Volunteers can take part in: Aquatics, Special Events, Sports and Recreation, before and after School Programs, March Break/Holiday Camp. Ways to Engage Virtually With Your Community

  • Sewing masks for front line workers
  • Writing letters of support for front line service worker or people in seniors residences
  • Engaging online with seniors residences and child centers
  • Virtual tutoring to help students with reading, communication and/or other skills
  • Virtual faith-based activities
  • Teaching online music, dance lessons or host an online art classes for younger students
  • Recording a musical performance that could provide entertainment for seniors
