Posted on 05/24/2024
The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is committed to creating conditions that lead to an improvement in learning for all students. Below, you will find information on the Semester 2 Final Evaluation Schedule. These days provide an excellent opportunity for students to consolidate their learning and work towards improving their achievement. If you have any questions about your child’s progress, please do not hesitate to reach out to the classroom teacher.

PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE FINAL EVALUATION TASKS PLANNED FOR ALL COURSES, IN ALL GRADES.
STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND AND PARTICIPATE EACH DAY (SEE SCHEDULE BELOW) IN ORDER TO ENSURE THEIR FINAL GRADE REFLECTS THEIR LEARNING THIS SEMESTER.

Final Evaluation Dates:
June 17th and 18th are the final regular classes in all subjects. Students will be given a copy of their evidence record (chart detailing their results on class assignments this year) that highlights areas of strength and areas where additional evidence of learning will be gathered during final evaluation tasks. Teachers will also send home details about the specific structure of their final evaluations (e.g. exam, performance task, exit interviews, etc). All students are expected to attend and be available for all 5 Final Evaluation Days as needed.
  • June 19: Period 1 Final Evaluations (8:45 - 11:45), or as communicated by the class teacher.
  • June 20: Period 2 Final Evaluations (8:45 - 11:45), or as communicated by the class teacher.
  • June 21: Period 3 Final Evaluations (8:45 - 11:45), or as communicated by the class teacher.
  • June 24: Period 4 Final Evaluations (8:45 - 11:45), or as communicated by the class teacher.
  • June 25: Inclement Weather Date (in case circumstances should force the postponement of any date above). In some exceptional cases students at risk of not earning a credit may also be called in for a credit rescue opportunity.
  • June 26: PD Day - No classes.
  • June 27: Commencement Ceremony for Class of 2024
